Merchant
Merchant professions include anything that makes money by selling things, generally things that they purchase at a discount from the manufacturer.
Banker
Bankers borrow and lend money to earn interest. They have a knowledge of exchange rates and a good general idea of how much items and services are likely to cost in a given region.

Guild Master
Guild masters are the heads of local guilds. The type of guild doesn't need to be specified, but it can be if so desired. This character has a knowledge of exchange rates and a good idea of how much items and services are likely to cost in all of the regions in which they have influence or exchange information with other guild masters.

Innkeeper
Innkeepers tend to the running of the inn and the common area and tavern where the locals assembled to food, drink, and company. They are generally good at reading people and know a lot of history of the area, local and abroad, depending on their clientele. This character has a good idea of how much items and services are likely to cost in the local area and where to find them.

Peddler
A peddler is a shopkeeper that travels around to different towns to peddle their wares rather than setting up shop in a town and allowing the people to come to them. This character has a knowledge of exchange rates and an exceptional knowledge of how much items and services are likely to cost in all regions they've been in. They also will have a good guess on how much items and services might cost in regions where they have not been.

Merchant
Merchants ship goods from one location where they are plentiful to another location where they are not so plentiful so as to make a profit. They usually set up shop in a fixed location or a marketplace and allow the members of the community to come to them. A character could either be a general merchant or they can specify as a spice merchant, silk merchant, rug merchant, etc, in which case they would additionally know a lot about whatever product they choose. This character has a knowledge of exchange rates and an excellent idea of how much items and services are likely to cost in regions where they do business. They would also have a good guess on how much items and services might cost in regions where they have not travelled.

Shopkeeper
Shopkeepers are like merchants, but they set up shop in a location and purchase their goods from merchants, peddlers, or local producers. People in the community know where they are to be found and come to them to buy their goods. A character could either be a general shopkeeper or they can specify that they are a shopkeeper specializing in spice, silk, rugs, etc, in which case they would additionally know a lot about whatever product they choose. This character has a knowledge of exchange rates and a good general idea of how much items and services are likely to cost in the region where they have set up shop as well as a vague idea of how much items and services might cost in regions where clientele have travelled from.
